Welcome – we are ‘The Experts’ in fine foods of the Mudgee Region. 

You can buy safely on-line, or visit our retail shop at Mudgee’s historic Railway Station tourist complex.

Our product range is drawn exclusively from the Mudgee Region. This philosophy has not changed since Christmas1996, when Vanessa and Clem Cox began ‘Mudgee Hampers’. In the following year, they opened the ‘Heart of Mudgee’ country store in Mudgee’s oldest home. At the time, the concept of a ‘totally local’ providor was unique (Matthew Evans – food writer/critic).

Today, Mudgee Gourmet’s shelves are laden with supplies made by more than 30 boutique food-makers  – all local and using regional produce as available.

Our product range reflects the climate and soils of the region and local rural industries, such as olives, honey, grapes, temperate nuts, berries, and fruits.  Our suppliers use best quality ingredients (mostly locally grown) and no artificial preservatives.

Our sales team, Clem, Vanessa and Diane have more than 30 years of product knowledge. Sales are supported by serving suggestion, recipes and use tips. We’re experts in helping you find a flavor you’ll love or putting  together gifts to titillate the most discriminatory taste buds.

At Mudgee Gourmet, we encourage a healthy approach to the enjoyment of food – many of our products are suitable for diabetics or those who are gluten, milk or egg product intolerant. (Dietary Notes)
