1. How do I place an order?

2. How do I know if you have received my order?
When you have placed an order with heartofmudgee.com.au, we will email you to confirm that your order has been received. Should you send an order by fax please enclose your email address so we can confirm receipt by email; if you do not have the internet we will fax you to confirm receipt. Our contact details are shown at the bottom of the bottom of this page.
3. How do you deliver the order, and what if my address is hard to find?
We normally deliver orders by Australia Post's Registered Post service. If the delivery address is hard to find, include a contact phone number on your delivery details.
4. What if I am not home when the package arrives?
If no one is home to receive and sign for the package then Australia Post leaves a notice that there is a parcel awaiting collection at the Post Office. The added benefits are that not only is your parcel able to be traced and automatically insured to $100 value, but it is not left outside your door in potentially damaging heat or insecure conditions.
5. How long will it take for my parcel to arrive or be delivered?
All our producers are cottage industry or boutique scale. Though we maintain stock in our Shop, sometimes seasonal conditions make an individual product unavailable or in short supply.
Generally we can supply an order within 7 working days. However, in peak periods allow 14 days from date of order for delivery in NSW.
6. How do I know how much it will cost for my order to be posted?
We have calculated post and handling charges according to Australia Post's current charges from the Mudgee region of NSW.
When you place your order on the shopping cart a postal charge automatically appears according to the DELIVERY POST CODE.
Occasions may arise when we will need to charge more post, in which case we will contact you before finalising and processing your order.
These may be
- if your order will not fit into our largest box
- if your order weighs more than our calculated average
- if we pack several Special Offers into one carton
- if the area weight is more than kilogram weight
- if any combination of the above occurs.
7. How have you calculated your delivery and handling charges?
Our on-line-shopping cart and special offer packages are already discounted compared to the shelf prices in our shop.
We have had two sizes of postal carton specially produced to ensure safe carriage of orders. As a guide the larger of these cartons is fully filled by the contents of our 'Regional Flavour' special offer. This package, its contents and weight should be regarded as the maximum size and weight covered by our standard postcode based charges.
Postal and handling charges take into account packing materials to ensure no breakage or leakage, labour, the cost of registered post, receipting, standard parcel charges and of course the varying weight and distance charges across Australia.
In NSW and Victoria we offer a single discounted and averaged charge per parcel per State, 'Regional Flavours' being the example of maximum size and weight. In more disparate areas we have attempted to keep post and handling charges to a minimum - without going broke ourselves.
Where the order indicates that a special offer and a selection of goods are to be sent to the purchasers address, we will attempt to pack all items into one or more packages to reduce charges. Where the order indicates that a special offer or selection is to be sent to a different address from that of the purchaser (ie is a gift),that parcel will be packed and accounted as a single item, even if the order also lists goods to be sent to the purchasers address.
8. Does Heart of Mudgee have a minimum order value?
We accept any order with a value of $20.00 or more.
9. What if I change or cancel the order?
We endeavour to process our orders as quickly as possible. As such, once the order has been despatched, your account is charged. Any cancellation of the order before despatch attracts a .... cancellation fee but the order cannot be cancelled once the package has been despatched.
10. If I give the details of my credit card, particularly the card number are these details safe from prying eyes?
You should shop with complete confidence at this site. Our e-commerce system uses a method of protecting the details of your credit card & co, called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). If your browser supports the use of encrypted data transmissions, our Secure Socket Layer locks all information (i.e. your credit card number) passed from you to us in an encrypted manner, making it almost impossible to be intercepted by an unauthorised party. This is the industry standard for encryption technology used to create a secure transaction environment. Most browsers show when they are connected to the SSL server with the symbol of a locked padlock. When the browser is not at the secure site the padlock symbol is shown unlocked.
